GROUP C: MEXICO vs. VENEZUELA

Where: Houston. Time: 5 p.m. PDT. TV: FS1, Univision, UDN.

The buzz: Both teams come into the group-play final unbeaten so the winner here will also win the group. And that’s no small prize since the group runner-up will fly to Foxborough, Mass., to meet Argentina in the quarterfinals while Monday’s winner gets either Chile or Panama in its knockout-round game. Mexico looked impressive in its first two games but Venezuela has already proved to be a giant-killer, taking down Uruguay and Jamaica by 1-0 scores, making it the only team in the tournament that hasn’t allowed a goal.

GROUP C: URUGUAY vs. JAMAICA

Where: Santa Clara. Time: 7 p.m. PDT. TV: FS1, UniMas, UDN.

The buzz: Both teams came into the Centenario with high hopes yet both will be going home after this game, leaving them playing for little more than pride. Jamaica is still looking for its first goal while Uruguayan fans are waiting for Luis Suarez’s first appearance in the tournament. That’s not likely to happen now; with little at stake here there’s no reason to risk the hamstring Suarez strained last month playing for Barcelona.
