UCLA to hold ‘Dribble for the Cure’ on Oct. 26

UCLA will hold “Dribble for the Cure” on Oct. 26 to benefit cancer research at the Mattel Children’s Hospital. The event is co-hosted by the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

Former UCLA player John Vallely, a two-time cancer survivor, is on the foundation’s board of directors.

Members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as other UCLA athletes, will participate in the event to raise money through pledges. Teams must have a minimum of 10 members.

Registration will be at UCLA’s Drake Stadium beginning at 8:30 a.m. The race begins at 10:15 a.m. Participants are required to bring their own basketball. UCLA athletes will sign autographs and pose for photos at the end of the race.
