Temperatures are forecast to dip below freezing when USC plays Colorado on Friday at Folsom Field in Boulder.
The Trojans (6-3 overall, 4-2 in the Pac-12) defeated Arizona last week, 38-30, and became bowl eligible.
The Buffaloes (4-6, 1-5) fell to Stanford, 42-10.
USC tailback Tre Madden will be sidelined -- against the worst rushing defense in the conference -- because of a bone bruise, Coach Clay Helton announced.
Center Khaliel Rodgers and defensive lineman Claude Pelon were slowed during the practice week because of a shoulder and knee injury, respectively, but are expected to play, Helton said.
USC is 9-0 against Colorado, including victories the last four years since the Buffaloes joined the Pac-12.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 6 pm PST on on ESPN2.
