USC’s Randall Telfer prepares for his final trip to the Farm

USC tight end Randall Telfer discusses the Trojans’ matchup against Stanford.

No player on USC’s roster has won on the Farm. The Trojans haven’t defeated Stanford in Palo Alto since 2008.

Randall Telfer, a fifth-year senior tight end, made it a goal this season to change that.

Saturday’s game is the Pac-12 opener for both teams.

Telfer said the Trojans would treat it like any other game but acknowledged added pressure.

“Only because it’s Stanford and we’re going up there,” he said.

In 2012, Telfer caught four passes for 20 yards in second-ranked USC’s 21-14 loss to the Cardinal. The defeat quieted USC’s early-season talk of a run to the national championship.

The Trojans got their revenge in 2013, upsetting fifth-ranked Stanford, 20-17, at the Coliseum on Andre Heidari’s 47-yard field goal with 19 seconds left.

Now, it’s back to the Farm.
