USC began preparing for Thursday night’s game against California during the weekend, which allowed recruits to attend practices.

Ventura St. Bonaventure quarterback Ricky Town, who signed a financial-aid agreement and will enroll midyear, watched Saturday’s workout.

On Sunday, Long Beach City College receiver De’Quan Hampton -- a USC commit -- and Riverside Community College receiver Isaac Whitney stood with receivers coach Tee Martin to watch position drills.

Also in attendance were three 2016 recruits: Gardena Serra quarterback Khalil Tate, Serra defensive back C.J. Pollard and Long Beach Poly receiver Jack Jones.

Pollard, the son of former USC defensive back Marvin Pollard, was offered last month.

Jones was offered in September.
