16 hotels in California, 5 in Las Vegas earn 2016 five-star Forbes awards
If it’s the plush life you’re after for your next hotel stay, check out 42 new hotels that have been awarded five stars by the 2016 Forbes Travel Guide.
The guide on Monday announced awards for five-star, four-star and recommended hotels for those that meet its criteria each year. (You can read up on how hotels are rated here.)
Paris had the most first-timers with nine, followed by Italy with eight.
In California, 16 hotels retained their five-star status in the 2016 guide.

The Resort at Pelican Hill (its spa also got five stars) in Newport Beach
