Move aside, Jerry Seinfeld and Louis CK. Starting this week, “Lipshtick -- The Perfect Shade of Standup” and its ladies of laughter will rule the roost at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
The list of comedians who will perform in “Lipshtick -- The Perfect Shade of Standup” in the second half of 2014 is impressive.
The lineup begins Friday when Wendy Williams, best known as host of the long-running talk show “The Wendy Williams Show,” focuses on tickling funny bones.
Stand-up acts will include:
July 18 and 19: Heather McDonald, probably best known for her appearances on E’s “Chelsea Lately.”
July 25 and 26: Rita Rudner, a longtime headliner on the Strip. Rudner has performed for more than a million people at the Venetian, according to a news release.
Aug. 8 and 9: Lisa Lampanelli calls herself “the queen of mean.” Howard Stern has called her “a true original … who’ll steal the show every time.”
Aug. 15 and 16: Whitney Cummings, co-creator of CBS’ “Two Broke Girls.”
Many of the comedy queens will make repeat appearances later in the year.
Ticket prices vary by act. They’re available online or by phone at (702) 414-9000.
