San Diego holds its annual street party for the over-21 crowd in the city’s Gaslamp Quarter. Entertainment includes mariachi music plus blues rockers Lady Dottie and the Diamonds, the Disco Pimps and DJ Mac.When, where: 5 p.m. to midnight May 5 along 5th Avenue between Island and J streets and J Street between 5th and 6th avenues.
Admission: $15 in advance, $20 at the gate
