The Victoria Clipper ferry service will be adding extra sailings this month from Seattle to the Canadian city of Victoria for holiday travelers. You can hop the ferry for a day excursion but the better deals are overnight packages that start as low as $126 per person.

The deal: The Seattle to Victoria Overnight Package is based on double occupancy and includes round-trip ferry tickets and a hotel stay, usually at the Harbour Towers Hotel & Suites.

There are other hotel options too. For example, you can upgrade to the four-star Hotel Grand Pacific starting at $153 per person. The package makes for a bargain getaway considering round-trip adult ferry prices alone run $90 (Web-only price) to $107 (advance purchase price) per person. That’s just $19 to $26 more each to spend time this month touring holiday lights at Butchart Gardens or taking in the National Gingerbread Showcase at the Inn at Laurel Point.

When: The offer is good until the end of February.

Tested: I found availability for the package for two for $294, a little higher than the lowest rate. The ferry leaves Seattle at 8 a.m. Dec. 22 and returns from Victoria at 5 p.m. Dec. 23. The trip takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes each way. I also found availability for Feb. 2 to 3 for the same ferry schedule for $269.
