Reporting from Las Vegas — Comedian Jim Jefferies became an overnight success after a fan attacked him on stage during a show at the Manchester Comedy Store in England in 2008. That probably won’t happen when he takes the stage at the 4,000-seat The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The Australian comedian and actor stops in Las Vegas as part of his Freedumb tour, an encore to his last sold-out North American tour Day Streaming.
His controversial HBO special “I Swear to God” cemented his fame with rants about hating pandas and theories about studs and sluts. He followed that up with his Showtime special “Alcoholocaust.”
His FX sitcom “Legit” was cancelled after two seasons but received accolades for its portrayal of people with mental and physical handicaps.
Now Jefferies has his first Netflix comedy special, “Bare.”
Tickets start at $45 and go on sale on Friday, March 20.
Tickets: The Joint, (702) 693-5583
