Nicole by OPI on Monday announced a partnership with six-time Grammy winner and country music star Carrie Underwood that will bring 14 shades of limited-edition Underwood-inspired nail lacquers to market in January.

Described as “a colorful mosaic of hues ranging from soft pastels to dark sultry shades to playful glitters,” the line will include colors with names such as “American as Apple Pie” and “Southern Charm.”

Of particular note is a gold textured shade -- called “Carrie’d Away” -- that was created exclusively for Underwood.

“This is the first time Nicole by OPI has ever designed a signature shade for one of our celebrity partners,” Nicole by OPI’s executive vice president and artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann noted in the announcement.

The company is no stranger to leveraging celebrity synergy. Recent collections of nail lacquers have been themed around singer Selena Gomez (shades include “Spring Break” and “Mi Fantasia”) and ABC sitcom “Modern Family” (hues include “Am I Making Myself Claire?” and “Basking in Gloria”).
