Earthquake: 3.4 quake strikes near Fort Bragg

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Thursday morning nine miles from Fort Bragg, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:02 a.m. PST at a depth of 3.1 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 34 miles from Ukiah, 66 miles from Clearlake and 74 miles from Healdsburg.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
