Vehicle fatally strikes man, 73, in crosswalk in Glassell Park
A 73-year-old Los Angeles man died Sunday after he was struck by a vehicle while walking across a street in Glassell Park.
Jeremias Bergus Ignacio was walking in a crosswalk on Avenue 41 at Eagle Rock Boulevard just before 6 p.m. when he was struck, said Los Angeles police Officer Norma Eisenman.
Ignacio sustained “severe blunt force injuries” and was taken to a hospital, where he died, the officer said.
The driver of the car that struck Ignacio stopped at the scene and was not arrested, Eisenman said.
