Mission Viejo slaying suspect held on $1-million bail

A 21-year-old man is expected to be formally charged Wednesday for in the fatal stabbing of a man multiple times inside his Mission Viejo home.

Adam Anthony Ingala-Whiting, 21, of Oceanside is accused of killing Francesco Bonomolo, 47, sometime between April 29 and May 4, the Orange County district attorney’s office said in a statement.

On May 4, an acquaintance of Bonomolo went to his home and discovered his body, authorities said.

Ingala-Whiting is expected to be charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement for using a deadly weapon. He faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted.

Ingala-Whiting is being held on $1-million bail and will be arraigned at Central Men’s Jail in Santa Ana. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate Bonomolo’s death.
