Update: Left wing Ryan Smyth, who has energized the Kings’ offense this season, will miss tonight’s game because of an upper-body injury he suffered during their 4-3 shootout victory Monday at Florida. A team spokesman said there was no timetable for Smyth’s return. He has nine goals and 23 points in 22 games and is among the NHL’s top 15 scorers. Defenseman Rob Scuderi will miss his second straight game because of a lower-body injury. The Flyers are 6-1 in their last seven games.
