Frank and Jamie McCourt leave mediation without settlement Friday
After about 10 hours of mediation, Frank and Jamie McCourt and their lawyers left Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday without reaching a settlement, according to the court’s public information director, Allan Parachini.
Nor will they meet Saturday, as some sources expected. Parachini said that they will probably set a date for a future mediation session.
The trial is scheduled to resume Monday in what is expected to be its third and final week.
In the absence of a settlement, Judge Scott Gordon will rule on whether the estranged couple’s 2004 marital property agreement is valid. If it is, Frank will have sole ownership of the Dodgers. If it is not, the Dodgers could be ruled the couple’s community property.
