Redskins fans asked to spell out their ire
Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder acknowledged to reporters Tuesday that “we’re disappointed and we’re embarrassed” over his football team’s 2-5 start.
But that may not be enough to appease a frustrated fan base.
In response to the team’s recent ban on homemade signs inside FedEx Field, a blog at fire-snyder-sign.blogspot.com is asking fans to create a “Fire Snyder” sign that wouldn’t require poster board.
For the Redskins’ home game Nov. 15 against the Denver Broncos, the website has instructed fans sitting in selected sections in the upper deck to wear either white or red, depending on their seat number. If executed correctly, the effort would create what would appear to be a “Fire Snyder” sign.
“Daniel Snyder wants to ban signs at FedEx Field?” the website wrote. “Then let’s turn the stadium itself into a sign he can’t ban.”

Allen Iverson complaining about playing time? It was only a matter of when, not if.
Despite missing the entire exhibition season and the Memphis Grizzlies’ first three regular-season games because of a hamstring injury, Iverson complained in his first game back.
“I’ve never been a reserve all my life and I’m not going to start looking at myself as a reserve,” said Iverson, who apparently has forgotten that he came off the bench with Detroit last spring.
“To answer the question, no, I’m not a bench player. I’m not a sixth man. Go look at my resume and that will show you I’m not a sixth man.”
Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo Sports looked at Iverson’s accomplishments, including his hasty departures from Philadelphia, Denver and Detroit, and remains unimpressed.
“I’ve seen your resume,” Dwyer wrote. “It’s pathetic. An MVP that Shaq should have won. Lots of scoring, and precious little growth since people learned they could make money off you.”
