Closer Wade Davis was put on the 15-day disabled list by the Kansas City Royals because of a strained right forearm.

Davis is 1-0 with a 1.23 earned-run average and 19 saves.

Norris is on Tigers’ DL because of oblique issue

Left-hander Daniel Norris was put on the DL by the Detroit Tigers because of a strained right oblique.

Norris left Monday’s game against Cleveland in the third inning because of the injury. He is 1-0 with a 4.85 ERA.

Sprained ankle lands Cardinals’ Moss on DL

Slugger Brandon Moss was put on the DL by the St. Louis Cardinals because of a sprained left ankle.

Moss leads the Cardinals with 17 home runs and has driven in 40 runs.
