GALAXY TONIGHT

VS. PUERTO RICO ISLANDERS (in CONCACAF Champions League)

When: 7.

Where: Home Depot Center.

On the air: TV: Fox Soccer; Radio: 1220 AM.

Records: Galaxy 1-0 in CCL, Puerto Rico 0-1.

Update: The Galaxy can take a big step toward the knockout round of the CONCACAF Champions League with a win over Puerto Rico, but the Islanders have proven troublesome, whipping the Galaxy, 4-1, in the tournament two years ago at the Home Depot Center. Plus the Galaxy will be a bit short-handed with striker Robbie Keane sidelined after drawing a red card in last week’s CCL win over Isidro Metapan of El Salvador, and captain Landon Donovan is doubtful because of a strained left hamstring. Midfielder David Beckham, who left Saturday’s MLS win over FC Dallas because of flu-like symptoms, practiced Tuesday and is expected to play. Parking at the Home Depot Center will be free Wednesday but because of an agreement with neighboring Cal State Dominguez Hills, the crowd will be capped at 7,500.
