Kings’ Jonathan Quick could be put on assignment in Manchester
One of the next steps in Jonathan Quick’s rehabilitation process could be an assignment in Manchester, N.H., according to Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi.
Lombardi said on Tuesday morning that a trip to the Kings’ American Hockey League affiliate is a strong possibility for his starting goaltender.
It is not a done deal, however.
There are several factors, including the Monarchs’ travel schedule and how Quick feels about the option.
Quick suffered a strained groin on Nov. 12 at Buffalo, a Grade 2 strain, and is continuing to progress and is expected back in early January.
He has accompanied the team on this four-game trip. The Kings play at Dallas on Tuesday tonight. The Kings are 0-2 on the trip, losing at Nashville and Chicago.
