Kern County spill: In the July 25 California section, an article about Gov. Gavin Newsom’s visit to a Kern County oil spill site said that, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, California consumed 366,000 barrels of gasoline in 2017. The figure was 366 million barrels.

Red-legged frog: In the July 25 California section, an article about the California red-legged frog referred to the species as endangered. It is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.

Juul hiring: In the July 23 Business section, an article about Juul Labs’ new medical director, Dr. Mark Rubinstein, misstated his medical specialty. Dr. Rubinstein is a specialist in adolescent medicine, not a pediatrician.
