Kevin Thomas did it again. Ruined a perfectly fine relationship.

First in June, when he called “L’Argent” a masterpiece. Saw it on our wedding anniversary, my idea--bad idea. Bickered all the way home. (I wouldn’t admit I hated it too.)

Now last Sunday morning, reading Calendar in bed: “Arguably the finest foreign film of the year--’L’Argent’ ” (“The French Still Lead in Meritorious Exports,” Dec. 30).

Both of us laughed so hard while reading this we forgot why we were still in bed at noon.
