The Patrick Henry Patriots kept their perfect record intact with a 76-64 win over the Santana Sultans in the championship of the Santana Tournamment at Santana High Saturday night.

The Patriots (12-0) were led by Kensey Smith’s 24 points.

“We tried to pack it (the defense) inside early,” said Santana Coach Paul Casey. “But Kensey Smith was very tough from the outside. He scored 17 points in the first half, so we came out and played man-to-man in the second half, and it worked much better.

With the new defensive scheme, the Sultans were able to hold Smith to just seven points in the second half but could come no closer than four points in falling to 8-5.
