Chapman Rallies for 54-51 Victory
Delisa Carter and Missy Firpo each scored 14 points for Chapman College as the Panthers defeated Northern Arizona, 54-51, in a nonconference game at Chapman, Wednesday.
The Panthers (18-2) were behind for much of the second half until Firpo made a 10-foot shot with 5:40 remaining to put Chapman ahead to stay. The win improved Chapman’s record to 8-0 in the month of January, a school record.
The Lumberjacks (9-10) were led by Amber Rudiger’s 15 points. Vicki Hart added 11 points for Northern Arizona.
