Cardinals Acquire Jack Clark

ST. LOUIS —
The St. Louis Cardinals today acquired power-hitting outfielder Jack Clark from San Francisco in a deal that sends four players to the Giants, a Cardinals spokesman said.
In exchange for Clark, San Francisco gets pitcher Dave LaPoint, first basemen David Green and Gary Rajsich, and shortstop Jose Gonzalez. Clark, 29, has hit 20 or more home runs in five of the last seven seasons. He was sidelined much of last season with a knee injury.
