L.A. Baptist Beats Webb

L.A. Baptist High, behind David Fursman’s two first-half goals, rolled to an easy 4-0 victory over Webb High in an Alpha League soccer game Tuesday.

The sophomore forward, who leads the Knights with 13 goals this season, scored his 12th goal 20 minutes into the first half, then added the 13th goal eight minutes later. Doug Brown scored 20 minutes into the second half to put L.A. Baptist up, 3-0. Ten minutes later, John Lowe added the final goal.

Kevin Eden recorded his seventh shutout of the season as the Knights improved their first-place league record to 8-0-1. The Gauls fell to 4-4-1 in league.
