An approximately one-mile stretch of the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway is being widened from four to six lanes between Cecilia Street and Firestone Boulevard as part of the construction of the Century Freeway.
A portion of Cecilia Street between Dumont and Lefloss avenues will be closed for the next six weeks to allow work crews access to the freeway, said Thomas Knox, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.
The road closure is under the freeway, which will remain open during the construction period, Knox said.
