Prep Basketball GIRLS : Glendale 54, Arcadia 39

Glendale High benefitted from the return of Martha Rankin to defeat Arcadia to improve to 5-2 in the Pacific League and 11-9 overall.

Rankin, who scored 29 points the last time the teams met, was ill and sat out the first half when Glendale led only 19-17. Inserted in the lineup after intermission, the 6-0 center scored 9 points and had 12 rebounds.

Senior Erin Cassidy scored 17 points and had 15 rebounds for Glendale. Missy Coomges scored 14 points for Arcadia, which fell to 1-6 in league and 3-12 overall.
