Cal Prep 88, Southwestern 46

Jake Devane continued to pour in the points for Cal Prep, scoring 39 to improve his Liberty League average to 28.3 a game. He also had 10 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 assists in the win over Southwestern at Providence High School.

Scott MacKinnon scored a season-high 17 points and Vince Yardum had 13 for Cal Prep. Chris Sauter scored 22 points for Southwestern.

Cal Prep improved to 8-1 in league and 11-7 overall. Southwestern is 2-7 in league and 2-8 this season.

Chaminade 51, LaSalle 36

Senior forward Jeff Gehl scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Chaminade High to a Santa Fe League win at home over LaSalle.

Terry Siciliano, a 6-1 center, had eight points and 12 rebounds for Chaminade. Forward Joe Hart scored 13 points for LaSalle.

Both teams are 5-5 in league. Chaminade improved to 7-12 overall.

W.V. Chr. 46, Covenant Faith 19

Sophomore center Alan Prince hit 14 of 20 field goal attempts to pace West Valley Christian High’s victory over host Covenant Faith. Prince scored 28 points and had 13 rebounds.

West Valley improved to 3-4 in the Christian Schools Athletic Conference and 5-6 overall.

Providence 90, Holy Martyrs 74

Five players scored in double figures to lead Providence High to a nonleague win over Holy Martyrs at home.

Pat McMahon had 19 points, Kevin Miller had 17, Tony Ross 16, Rick Ferrante had 11 and Kurt Nusbaum had 10 for Providence.

Providence is 6-14 this season.

Faith Baptist 58, Brentwood 28

Fernando McLean scored 17 points and Gerald Thomas added 14 points and 14 rebounds to lift Faith Baptist High to a home win over Brentwood.

The Contenders improved to 6-1 in the Delphic League. They are 16-3 overall.

Mark Hamilton scored 6 points to lead Brentwood.

Bishop Diego 60, Oak Park 54

Jeff Konkol scored 13 points and Jim O’Toole added 10 for the winners in a Tri-Valley League game at Bishop Diego.

Oak Park (8-11, 5-4) got 16 points and 16 rebounds from Drew Friedman, 12 points and 11 rebounds from Andy Silverman and 10 points from Brian Friefeld.

Carpinteria 51, Moorpark 49

Jarrett Garcia hit a 15-foot jumper at the buzzer as last-place Carpinteria stunned visiting Moorpark.

Garcia had 18 points to lead the Warriors’ upset. Moorpark, which was led by Mike Patrick’s 28 points, falls to 8-3 in league.
