SCC Takes on Point Loma-Nazarene in NAIA Contest

Southern California College will play host to Point Loma-Nazarene at 7:30 tonight in a game which will determine first place in the NAIA District 3 Southern Division. SCC (20-4 overall) and Point Loma (20-6) are tied for first place with 6-2 conference records.

When the teams met last month at Point Loma, the Vanguards lost, 98-86. In NAIA inter-division action last Saturday night, the Crusaders beat defending NAIA District 3 champion, Westmont, 76-73. Westmont is in first place in the NAIA District 3 Northern Division with a 7-1 record. It is 20-4 overall.

SCC has won six straight games, including three in a row in conference. The Vanguards’ two conference losses were against Point Loma and Westmont.
