Maker Recalls Vaccine for Rabies After Testing

RADNOR, Pa —
Wyeth Laboratories Tuesday recalled its Wyvac rabies vaccine, effective immediately, because government tests found the drug did not provide maximum protection for about 5% of patients.
Wyeth stressed that no patients using the vaccine had contracted rabies.
