TORRANCE —
Torrance Memorial Hospital Medical Center is providing free premarital serological testing to engaged couples who donate one unit of blood each to the hospital’s Blood Donor Center.
The tests, which include a venereal disease test for both the man and the woman and rubella screening for the woman, are required for all couples applying for a marriage license. The blood center is open Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments may be scheduled by telephone.
