Sky Diver Critically Burned
Associated Press
ST. PAUL, Minn. —
A sky diver was reported in critical condition Monday with severe burns after she became entangled in a high-voltage power line during a parachute jump, authorities said.
Brenda Linder, 26, was jumping with others about a mile south of the Osceola, Wis., airport Sunday when she struck a live power line, Polk County Sheriff Don Hansen said. Linder was taken to a hospital in Osceola before being flown by helicopter ambulance to St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center’s burn unit.
