Robert Bergstrom, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene by San Diego County coroner’s deputies shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday. According to police, Bergstrom was driving north in a southbound lane of Interstate 805, just south of Murray Ridge Road, when his pickup truck struck a large sedan driven by Robert Dolan, 25. A motorcyclist, Robert Horne, 28, then collided with the rear of Dolan’s car. Dolan and Horne, who are both stationed at Miramar Naval Air Station, were taken to Mercy Hospital and then transferred to Navy Hospital in Balboa Park. Both were listed in stable condition Wednesday.
