CSUN Wins a Pair

Kathy Slaten and Del Anderson each pitched a 1-0 shutout as Cal State Northridge’s softball team swept Oregon State in a doubleheader Friday.

Slaten struck out 15 and allowed two hits in the first game. Her record is now 14-5. Anderson gave up three hits in the second game and struck out three. She is 11-2.

CSUN (28-1) plays host to the Tournament of Champions next week. Ten teams, including Division III NCAA champion Buena Vista (Iowa) College, are scheduled to compete.
