The Detroit Pistons got 26 points and 15 assists from Isiah Thomas Sunday and broke a 10-game Boston Celtic winning streak for the second time this season, this time 113-105 at Detroit.

Neither forward Larry Bird, who has bursitis in his right elbow, nor guard Danny Ainge, who has had back spasms, suited up for Boston (59-15). Scott Wedman replaced Bird and scored a game-high 31 points. Wedman had two three-point field goals, giving him an NBA-record of converting 11 straight attempts at three-point baskets. Trent Tucker of the New York Knicks held the previous record of 10.

“I wish I had a win today,” Wedman said. “That would mean more to me than the record, although I guess it’s nice to be a trivia question someday.”

The game began on a physical note as Celtic forward Kevin McHale shoved Piston guard John Long. Technical fouls were called on both players, and coaches K.C. Jones of Boston and Chuck Daly of Detroit (40-33) exchanged words. Jones was ejected from the game in the third quarter when he drew two technical fouls while protesting a call against Wedman.

McHale, who scored a team-record 56 points against the Pistons March 3 at Boston, scored 29 this time.

Washington 111, Indiana 105--Gus Williams scored a game-high 26 points and Jeff Malone added 23, including the go-ahead basket with 2:05 remaining, at Indianapolis as the Bullets sent the Pacers to their 10th consecutive loss.

Clark Kellogg scored 22 points to lead Indiana, while Vern Fleming had 20--16 in the first half.
