Hebert’s TD Passes, Bojovic’s Field Goals Lift Invaders to a 27-11 Win Over Outlaws

Quarterback Bobby Hebert threw two touchdown passes and Novo Bojovic kicked a pair of field goals to lead the Oakland Invaders to a 27-11 victory over the Arizona Outlaws in a United States Football League game before 12,972 Saturday.

Hebert, who completed 18 passes in 29 attempts for 167 yards, threw touchdown passes of 14 yards to Derek Holloway and 22 yards to Albert Bentley to help Oakland improve its record to 6-3-1. Arizona dropped to 4-6.

Bojovic kicked a 51-yard field goal in the fourth quarter and a 25 yarder in the first half.

Arizona, which lost its fourth straight game, scored on a 40-yard pass from quarterback Doug Williams to Reggie Brown and a 41-yard field goal by Louis Zendejas.

Each team scored on its opening drive. But after Arizona’s touchdown, Zendejas’ extra-point attempt was wide, putting the Outlaws behind, 7-6. Oakland’s Eric Jordan scored on a one-yard run and Bojovic kicked his first field goal to put the Invaders on top 17-9 at halftime.
