50 Cats and Dogs Perish in N.Y. Animal Shelter Fire
ELMSFORD, N.Y

Fifty cats and dogs awaiting adoption were killed and nine others were injured early Monday at the Elmsford Animal Shelter, in a fire investigators said was deliberately set. The shelter houses between 250 and 300 animals.
