British Telecom agreed to buy 51% of Mitel.

British Telecommunications agreed in principle to pay $300 million Canadian--the equivalent of $217.8 million U.S.--to buy Mitel, a financially troubled Canadian telecommunications equipment manufacturer. Mitel said British Telecom will exercise “full management control” when the deal is completed.
