Associated Press
NEW YORK —
A gunman opened fire outside a Chinatown restaurant Monday, wounding seven persons, including a 4-year-old boy, in what police said may have been a gang-related shooting.
The victims were hospitalized in serious or critical condition.
The shooting took place at the Szechuan Cuisine restaurant, and the assailant fled on foot, Tony Vallelong, a police spokesman, said. “It’s possibly Chinese gang-related,” he said.
