2 Killed in Separate Gang Member Fights
Two men were killed in separate incidents when fights broke out between gang members in Southeast and South-Central Los Angeles early Sunday, police reported.
Louis Bernal, 20, of Los Angeles died and three others were wounded outside a wedding reception at a dance hall and bar in the 2800 block of East Olympic Boulevard in the Southeast area, police said.
In the second incident, Charles Bailey, 22, of Los Angeles was shot in the chest and killed after exchanging angry words with another man about their respective gangs. Both incidents were under investigation, and no arrests had been made.
