Motorcyclist Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
A hit-and-run driver intentionally plowed into the path of three motorcycles on Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima early Thursday, killing one motorcyclist and injuring another, Los Angeles police said.
The dead cyclist, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was a 27-year-old San Fernando Valley woman, police said.
The second victim, Arnold Byron, 37, of Sylmar, suffered cuts and broken bones, Lt. Al Ferrand said. Byron was listed in fair condition at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills.
Police said the third motorcyclist was not injured.
The accident occurred about 1:30 a.m. on Van Nuys Boulevard near Kewen Street, police said. Witnesses told police the car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit two of the three motorcycles.
Police said they are looking for a small blue car with a dented front left side.
