Officer Herb Williams of the Los Angeles Police Department said the truck was southbound on Topanga Canyon Boulevard when, “God knows why, they cut across the northbound lanes.”

25 Feet Downhill

Williams said the truck hit an asphalt curb that caused it to spin in the opposite direction. The vehicle then rolled sideways 25 feet downhill.

The accident was reported to the Fire Department at 5:44 p.m.

Police said they found a .38-caliber handgun and $2,000 cash in a purse in the truck. The driver told police she owns a bar in Canoga Park.

“She said she was transferring goods from one place to another,” Williams said.

Among the goods that spilled down the side of the hill were food and dozens of bottles of beer, police said.
