Police have arrested seven members of a neo-Nazi group, including two prison guards, and are seeking two others charged with staging attacks on blacks.

Members of the White Patriots Party were charged in attacks on two black men in Belle Glade and one in West Palm Beach, Police Chief Michael Miller said. They were also accused of throwing grapefruit, slashing tires and shooting out the windows of businesses with pellet guns.

“This group is against everything we stand for as Americans,” Miller said.

The arrests Wednesday followed a six-week investigation by the city Police Department, the Glades Correctional Institution and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.

About 50% of the inmates at the multi-custody security institution are black.

Each of the suspects, including a 16-year-old, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery, shooting into an occupied public building and throwing a destructive device.
