Woman Killed Crossing Street: An 85-year-old Fullerton woman was killed Tuesday while crossing a street against a “Don’t Walk” sign, Anaheim police said. Augusta Maldonado died shortly after being taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange about 12:30 p.m., police said. Witnesses said Maldonado was crossing near a shopping area in the 200 block of East Lincoln Street and walked “directly into” the path of a car driven by a 16-year-old from Fullerton, police said. The driver was not cited, police said.
