An investor raised his stake in RB Industries.

Jeffrey Neuman, a Santa Monica investor, said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that he purchased 37,500 shares of RB between June 13 and Aug. 2 at prices ranging from $7.75 to $9 a share. Neuman now owns 301,510 shares, or about 8.9%, of the Irvine-based furniture retailer, which he said he bought for investment purposes only.
