Garden Grove Woman Burned in Mobile Home

A woman in her 60s suffered second- and third-degree burns over 60% of her body as a result of a fire Monday afternoon in her Garden Grove mobile home.
City Fire Department Capt. Jerry Halberstadt said the woman was treated at the scene by paramedics and admitted to the burn unit of UCI Medical Center in Orange. The woman was not identified, pending notification of her family.
Halberstadt said $45,000 damage was done to the home at 1252 Trask Ave. and an additional $15,000 damage to the contents. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. In all, 15 firefighters and six vehicles were involved in the operation.
