Man Driven Into Pole, Dies

NEW YORK —
A 60-year-old bread delivery man tried to cling to the side of his truck as it was being stolen today but was killed when the thief dislodged him by sideswiping a telephone pole in Times Square, officials said. The truck then crashed into a movie theater, injuring the thief and leading to his capture.
