7 Unopposed for Return to Water Boards
Seven incumbents are running unopposed for reelection this fall to three water boards in southeast Los Angeles County. The election for the four-year terms is Nov. 5.
In the Whittier area, Frederick Hodgson, Harry W. Jansen and Clifford Lee are unopposed for the Orchard Dale Water District, which serves about 4,000 commercial and residential customers in an unincorporated county area southeast of Whittier. The district is about 2.2 square miles.
On the La Habra Heights County Water District, W. Allan Herzog and Harold A. Lietzau are unchallenged in their bids for new terms. The district delivers water to about 1,745 customers in the La Puente Hills community.
In the South Montebello Irrigation District, Robert H. Brown in Division 1 and Florence Kelly in Division 2, are unopposed for new terms on the board.
The 895-acre district was established in 1920 and serves about 2,400 customers.
