Los Angeles police are seeking four suspects in the death of a 22-year-old Canoga Park man who was stabbed after an argument in a liquor store parking lot, authorities said Sunday.

Carlos Cervantes, 22, was fatally injured and his unidentified 23-year-old male companion suffered minor injuries in the incident, which occurred about 9 p.m. Friday in the 21100 block of Sherman Way, Sgt. Al Yarbrough said.

Police said Cervantes and his companion had gone to the store to buy cigarettes and got into a fight with four men when they attempted to return to their car. According to police, one of the assailants drew a knife and stabbed Cervantes in the abdomen and throat. His companion was stabbed in the chest, police said.
